Where will I be collected?

We will collect you from any address you specify when you book with us - eg: home/work/hotel. If we are collecting you from a terminal at Manchester Airport we wil give you instructions, for example Starbucks at Terminal 2 you wil also have drivers details to be in contact incase of changes.

Yes, definitely you will receive a text message with the driver’s details before you travel. Please take note of the number and feel free to text or call the driver if there are changes with the booking or there is an issue especially if the office is closed.

Yes – we usually allow for up to three addresses in the same town included in the price, any extra may incur a charge. Any extra pick-ups in different town/village will also be charged. All pick-up drop-off locations must be confirmed at the time of booking.

Our aims is to get you to the airport for the opening of your flight check in. The check-in opens 2 hours before the flight for European destinations and 3 hours before for long-haul destinations. We will suggest a pick-up time that should allow plenty of time to get to the airport, we do also like to allow extra time in case of traffic flow and other unforeseen incidents.

Yes – just advise our staff when making the booking by phone or email and we can factor in the time to allow you to do so.

Yes – there are many instances when prebooking a hotel and arriving the night before eases the pressure of travelling. Please let our staff know when making your booking and specify the hotel address as your drop off.

 

If you are concerned about the driver finding you, particularly in rural areas, then please feel free to contact him once you have received your ‘driver details’ (24 hours prior to travel via text/email). You can also give instructions when making a booking and we can add these to your booking. We also use What3Words.com.

24 hours prior to your arrival in the UK, you will receive a text and an email with your drivers details on. This will confirm the meeting point at the airport where the driver will collect you and the driver’s mobile number. If you are unable to locate your driver at the meeting point, just give them a quick call.

You will normally be travelling in your own group – however, there may be occasion when we have multiple customer groups in the same vehicle, particularly if arriving on the same flight. We aim for but are unable to guarantee exclusive travel.

Our fleet of cars are mainly nearly new Skoda Superb estates – comfortable and roomy for up to 4 passengers with good legroom and luggage space. For larger parties, we have 8-seater Renault Trafic Minivans and for single passengers we occassionally use Dacia Logan estates which are also very roomy but this is only if Skodas are booked.

Large/unusual luggage such as skis, snowboard, bike boxes, golf clubs, fishing rods etc. are subject to extra charges and must be mentioned at the time of booking.

We have removed restrictions to book for our customers so we can now take bookings months in advance of departure.

All prices quoted include car park charges which are included in the price and we are obliged to pay to the airports.

Are the prices time-dependant?

Yes, prices differ depending on flight times, journey times, number of passengers travelling and the collection/pick up address/s.

We Ask for a 20% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking, the balance is due 14 days prior to the journey. We take payment over the phone with a credit or debit card with online options soon available.

We are no longer able to provide booster/child seats for children, however we able to securely store your own booster/child/baby car seats at our premises between your journeys. It is the parents/guardian/s responsibility to secure children travelling with them into their seat within the vehicle.

We do not provide car seats for babies or children – please see above.

ASUK specialise in long distance journeys – we transport customers to cruise terminals, distance hospital appointments, to visit family at a distance, we will consider any distance journey within the UK.

All ASUK drivers are Private Hire Licensed with Westmorland and Furness Council, this involves having to pass a Local Knowledge Test, a Practical Driving Test, obtaining a DBS and passing a medical. Most of our drivers have been with us for a number of years and are very experienced in carrying passengers to their destinations safely and on time.

Our driver will have all your details, however, having a copy of the information on your phone or a hard copy is encouraged.

We operate our seating on a first come, first served policy for choice of seat. If you need a specific seat for health reasons, please speak to your driver who will try to accommodate your request.

With advance notice we can cater for walkers and foldable wheelchairs – however, this may dictate that the vehicle must be an 8-seat minibus.
